A story about the struggle of loyalty and friendship in the face of a moral dilemma, and how fragile trust can be.
A Glimpse into the Personal Practice
Thumbnails, layouts, and planning. Lots of planning.
To begin I wrote the manuscript, from there I had to decided which parts of each story to illustrate.
With consideration for the extra pages necessary for things such as the copyright and contact info — I roughed out thumbs of what the spreads would look like.

My next step was to create a running Indesign document formatted to the books specs.
I dropped in the working manuscript, left room for the spot and page illustrations and exported the pages out.
I dropped those pages into photoshop and began my illustration process.
Due to working on the illustrations and writing the stories simultaneously I made sure to keep in mind how the stories would be reformatted once they had gone through an editor.
